2025 Memorable Moments for Song For Israel

Song For Israel experienced a very busy and full year in "proclaiming God's eternal plan for Israel." We accomplished that through loving on Isael by giving them another bomb shelter, by visiting them and blessing them, and by focusing on Israel in Bible Studies, Hebrew lessons and special events.

Song For Israel (SFI) began 2025 with hopes and prayers that the war in Israel would end. Our prayers were answered near the end of the year!

Celebrating God’s Provision For Israel

We are grateful to have received so many donations that it was possible to pay for another bomb shelter for Israel. This shelter cost $29,000 (one of the larger ones!) This shelter was placed at the Carmiel branch of Pitchon Lev - an organization that provides food, clothes, and other necessities to economically challenged Israelis. They have several branches around the country.

At the close of 2025, we have $12,030. If we were to collect another $8,000, it would be enough for one of the smaller shelters. Thank you to all who partnered with SFI to help save lives in Israel .

Our campaign for our “Trees For Israel” project brought in $125 for the year. We did not promote this campaign very much, but it is an option for giving. During the war, many trees were burned by either direct hits from rockets or incendiary devices that were sent from Hamas, Hezbollah, and Houthis. Many areas of Israel are forest or farmland. The war has left the land in ruins in some areas.

Our Walk for Israel

Events

In April, Aharon Levarko, our tour guide from Israel, joined us in person and shared a message called, “Make His Name Great.” He also gave Israel updates on the war in Israel. The event was very well attended.

In May, we hosted our annual “Walk for Israel,” carrying flags and signs as we paraded along Yorba Linda Blvd. on Israel’s Independence Day. We were received with many honking car horns, thumbs up from drivers and passengers, as well as cheers in support of Israel. In addition, the leadership of the Chabad (synagogue) came out to take our picture in front of their giant menorah.

Israeli Dancing at the Feast of Tabernacles event

Feast of Tabernacles

We were able to use the huge tent at Richfield Community Church for our Feast of Tabernacles event. We decorated it beautifully! 75 people enjoyed hearing the shofar blown and then Natalie singing “Hatikva” (Israel’s national anthem), live music, Israeli dancing, Mediterranean food, and Rory, who gave an amazing lecture about this biblical holiday. Our sukkah was expanded with the help of Ralph and people were invited to go into it and then have their photos taken!

Chanukah Party

Chanukah Party - Some playing Dreidel game

We had a full house for our Chanukah party, where participants tasted sufganiyot, ate Chanukah cake, enjoyed a few games, including the dreidel game, won raffle prizes, and learned that Jesus celebrated and used this holiday (mentioned in John 10, as the Feast of Dedication) to announce His Deity. We also lit the Chanukah menorah and learned about its significance.

Bible Studies, Prayer Meetings, and Hebrew Class

We have continued our prayer meetings and weekly Bible Studies. The two ongoing Bible Studies completed intense studies in Numbers. We will soon complete Deuteronomy. We will begin the Book of Judges in February. Those attending are great students of God’s Word, which makes our discussions very rich!

Prayer has been so important this year as we constantly petitioned God for the release of the Israeli and American hostages who were taken on October 7, 2023.  We praise God that hostages were returned home this year.

Our biblical Hebrew class is in its second year, and it has been so fun teaching others how to study the Hebrew language. Most in the group participated reading from a Torah scroll at Ben David Messianic Jewish Congregation.

Deby continued presenting on social media and completed a number of videos on Rumble and YouTube. Several lectures from Deuteronomy were posted.

Israel Tours

Because of the war, our tour to Israel was canceled in 2025. We have plans for two future tours in 2026, but the one in May is full. We have registrations already for the November 2026 tour.

The “Monumental Wall” of the Tabernacle, Shiloh

Personally, I participated in the Shiloh archaeological dig for the second time. I excavated a lot of pottery and found a stone blade that was used for decorating pottery. Being part of this dig will be an option for those joining us for the May 2027 tour!

While in Israel, I visited the Peniel (Face of God) Elementary school in the Galilee. I interviewed the principal (video on Rumble) and am hoping we can support the school in the future.

In addition, Deby and Linda attended the wedding of Shmuel’s son while in Israel. A true Jewish wedding filled with joy and excitement (that no sirens or rockets occurred during it). Shmuel is our Bomb Shelter liaison and has become a good friend. We were blessed to be seated for dinner amongst the national leaders with the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem.

Awards

Song For Israel earned a CANDID Gold Seal of Transparency on Guidestar. This award guarantees donors of the credibility of our ministry financially.

We received a special award from the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem called the Watchman of Zion Partner, for our participation in providing so many bomb shelters to Israel.

Partner With Us

Thank you for partnering with us in 2025! We hope you will prayerfully consider partnering with us regularly in 2026 to proclaim God’s eternal plan for Israel. In addition, you might feel led to consider donating to the following special projects:

1. Bomb Shelter Project or “Trees For Israel” Project

2. Funds to help offset costs for some of our events

3. Song For Israel general budget

Scripture tells us that “Those who bless Israel will be blessed…” (Genesis 12:3) Our prayer team regularly prays that God will bless you, our donors. Once again, thank you for helping Song For Israel impact our world in support of Israel and the Jewish people.

May God richly bless you.

Blessings and Shalom,

Deby Brown, Director and the SFI Board
