A First-Phased Agreement Between Israel and Hamas Has Been Signed
Last night, the first phase of an agreement to a Peace Plan between Israel and the terrorist group, Hamas, has been signed. The initial agreement requires Hamas to release 20 prisoners who are alive, within 72 hours (which now looks to be Monday) and in return, Israel will give up 250+ strong terrorist prisoners. Israel has also agreed to move troops back from the City of Gaza. As far as those hostages who died, their bodies will be recovered over time and returned to Israel so they can mourn and put their loved ones to a proper resting place in Israel.
President Trump says this will be the “first teps toward a Strong, Durable, and Everlasting Peace. All parties will be treated fairly.” Those who participated in the negotiations were mediators from Qatar, Egypt, Turkey and the USA.
Israel has paid a brutal price to get to this point. The nation has been grieving for two years! But, these hostages are being released at a very approprite time — During the Feast of Tabernacles. This week the Feast of Tabernacles is celebrated, a season in which the Bible says to have joy! Joy will be experienced when these hostages are released. Tuesday is the last day of this holiday.
Because Hamas has reneged on previous deals, we need to pray now that this time, things will be different and that the hostages will be returned as promised. Pleae pray for the next phase of negotiations.
