Peniel Elementary School in the Galilee Needs Your Prayers
While in Israel in May 2025, I visited the Peniel (in English, Face of God) Elementary School in the Galilee. I interviewed the Principal, Benjamin Mills, to find out why the Israeli government would not certify the school. Without the certification, the attendance has been dropping for fear the government would shut it down. Although the school spent over $200,000 to upgrade and comply with all the governmental requests (including a new bomb shelter), they were still denied. Why? The Kindergarten has been certified, but not the elementary school.
The government does not support this school financially in any way. It is funded by tuition only. This is the only Hebrew-speaking Messianic Elementary school in the North of Israel. There is only one other in Jerusalem. Believers want their children to be raised in a Christian environment and study the Bible with the New Testament included.
