Israel at War...Again
Israel is at war…again. But this war is different from the war that broke out on October 7, 2023. In 2023, Hamas (an Iranian proxy) attacked the innocent citizens of southern Israel as they woke up on a Shabbat morning. It was the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles, which ended with a holiday called Simchat Torah (that translates to “the joy of the Torah.”) Both men and women were beaten, raped, killed, and or kidnapped, dead or alive.
The war that broke out last night was different because negotiations had been taking place for week after week without resolution. (This war is named “Operation Lion’s Roar.”) The Iranian government had been warned that if they kept indescriminatelyy killing their own people, there would be a price to pay. (We don’t have an exact number yet, but around 36,000 citizens were murdered). They were warned that the US would take action. In addition, nuclear talks had been taking place with no progress at all.
Together, Israel and the United States staged attacks on Iran—NOT on its citizens, but on the evil leaders of that nation, plus strategic strikes against Iran’s defense systems. Immediate success was accomplished with the confirmation that the death of the evil Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, had taken place, along with 30 other Iranian leaders. His palace had been destroyed, and he was inside. Videos show that the citizens were dancing in the street!
Even though many rocket launchers, weapons factories, etc. have been taken out, Iran continues to launch rockets and ballistic missiles into Israel (as well as other countries). Iran knows that the US wants this military campaign to end as quickly as possible, but they will likely try to drag it out.
So far, there has been one fatality of a woman in Tel Aviv, but no other injuries have yet been reported. The Fire and Rescue Service says its forces are heading to several sites in Jerusalem as well as Judea and Samaria, where fires have broken out, after missile shrapnel landed in these areas.
Families around the country have been sheltering in local bomb shelters. Missiles are flying everywhere and often. Tensions are high. Not everyone in Israel is fortunate enough to have a shelter or even get to one nearby.
Song For Israel has placed 12 bomb shelters in Israel in the past, but more are needed, especially now! We are about $5,000 away from being able to provide the funds for our 13th shelter. Would you consider making a tax-deductible donation to help save lives in Israel? Any amount helps us reach the goal.

Please pray that this war will be swift and that peace returns to Israel. Pray for wisdom for the leaders of the USA and Israel. Pray that the evil Iranian regime ends and its people are freed! Pray that every citizen finds shelter and is safe.
