The Security of the State of Israel

Last Wednesday, President Obama was in New York at a campaign fundraiser and made a comment that probably made the Jewish donors who were present, shake their heads in dismay! The President claimed that his administration “has done more in terms of the security of the state of Israel.” From my vantage point, he has done exactly the opposite, especially early on in his Presidency!

The following day after Obama’s claim, Fox News Channel’s “Special Report” focused on that comment. Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer also felt Obama had done just the opposite! Check out this clip:

Krauthammer said, “This President has done more to delegitimize and undermine Israel’s position in the world than any other president and he did it by arriving on the scene and imposing and demanding of Israel, a freeze on settlements, including the building of the Jewish homes in the Jewish quarter of Jerusalem of all places, something that had never been pre-conditioned in 17 years of negotiations.”
